MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) seeks an Admissions Counselor & Recruiter for the Traditional Undergraduate (TUG) Admissions team as an ambassador for MidAmerica Nazarene University. This role is responsible for driving enrollment growth by actively recruiting and enrolling well-matched students aligned with MNU’s Christ-centered mission. This position blends territory management, consultative sales, and ministry to guide prospective students and families through the full enrollment lifecycle from inquiry to the first day of class. The counselor operates as a trusted advisor, helping students discern both their academic and spiritual fit within a Christ-centered community. Success in this role requires a high level of ownership, strong sales discipline, relational intelligence, and the ability to manage a high-volume recruitment territory while maintaining personalized engagement with each student.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Duties
Territory Management & Recruitment Strategy
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to generate inquiries and applications.
Conduct high school visits, community college outreach, church engagement, and community-based recruitment.
Build and maintain relationships with counselors, pastors, alumni, and influencers
Analyze territory performance data to optimize recruitment efforts
Enrollment Sales & Funnel Conversion
Serve as a goal-driven sales professional responsible for meeting enrollment targets.
Execute high-volume outreach through calls, texts, email, and virtual appointments.
Manage and convert a full enrollment funnel: inquiry, applicant, admit, deposit, enrolled.
Maintain strong speed-to-lead and follow-up cadence.
Student Advising & Family Engagement
Serve as primary advisor to prospective students and families.
Provide guidance on academic programs, financial aid, affordability, and student life.
Communicate the value of a Christian liberal arts education.
Build trust and rapport with diverse populations
Team Collaboration & Culture Contribution
Participate in sales meetings, training, and performance reviews.
Contribute to a high-performance, faith-driven team culture.
Collaborate with marketing, financial aid, and academic departments
CRM Utilization and Operational Excellence
Utilize Slate CRM to manage pipeline activity, communication workflows, and reporting.
Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and timely updates to recruitment activity.
Leverage data insights to improve conversion at all stages of funnel activity
Event Execution & Campus Experience
Collaborate with the Manager of Engagement on executing campus visits, open houses, and yield events.
Deliver engaging presentations aligned with MNU’s mission and value proposition.
Support onboarding, orientation, and enrollment completion.
Performance Expectations – KPIs
Achievement of individual enrollment goals
Daily/weekly outreach activity levels (calls, texts, emails)
Application and deposit conversion rates
Event attendance and yield performance
CRM data integrity and pipeline management
Speed-to-lead and follow-up response times
QualificationsQualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required.
1-3 plus years of progressive sales and/or admissions experience are preferred
A master’s degree is preferred.
Willingness and ability to work with various constituent groups.
Ability and experience to effectively utilize required technology tools, including Slate CRM..
Demonstrate the ability to practice confidentiality with sensitive information.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed
