Description
The Controller position is a fully in-office role, responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting functions critical to the organization. This individual must be ready to be hands-on and actively involved in both daily operations and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Management: Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, including handling credit applications as needed, understanding and managing payment terms, coordinating payment runs twice a week for CFO approval and bank release, and processing annual 1099 forms and IRS reporting.

Backup for Senior Accounting Specialist: Serve as the backup for the Senior Accounting Specialist, which includes entering payables, processing daily cash journal entries, managing specific invoicing tasks, and handling certain accounts receivable credits and debits.

Excel Proficiency: Utilize advanced Excel functions, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs, to manage and analyze financial data efficiently.

Sales Reporting: Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and year-to-date sales reports for the management team.

General Ledger Oversight: Supervise the monthly general ledger close process, including posting journal entries as necessary.

Material Cost Validation: Perform daily validation of material costs to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Audit Participation: Actively participate in annual audits, supporting documentation and process review requirements.

System Conversion Involvement: Be involved in the planned system conversion from SAP ECC to SAP Business One, which is currently scheduled for August 2026.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

ERP Experience: Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP Business One is highly preferred.

System Conversion: Experience with system conversion and data migration processes is very helpful.

Initiative and Ownership: Must be self-motivated, able to follow up and follow through on open items, demonstrate initiative and critical thinking, ask questions when something appears incorrect, and take full ownership of assigned tasks.
