- Developing design solutions and selecting deck equipment
- Creating and supervising 3D and 2D technical documentation (classification, workshop, and procurement) in compliance with Classification Societies’ rules and contractual requirements
- Analyzing production non-conformities and optimizing design processes in terms of productivity, cost, and compliance with design assumptions
- Cross-disciplinary coordination and technical alignment with representatives of Classification Societies, suppliers, and subcontractors, including participation in project and interdepartmental meetings
- Reporting project progress and design issues
Requirements
- Experience in designing steel structures and equipment for ships or yachts, including prototype elements
- Knowledge of strength of materials, kinematic system design, and metal processing technologies (stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum)
- Proficiency in 2D documentation for classification requirements for ships or yachts – ability to create, review, and supervise the work of other engineers in both technical and workshop design
- Knowledge of welding, including welding technologies and quality requirements relevant to the design and certification of steel structures
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or similar software)
- Strong communication skills and English proficiency (minimum B2/C1) enabling daily technical collaboration with clients and external partners
Nice to have:
- Ability to perform FEM (Finite Element Method) calculations
