About the Role
The Parts Supervisor / Senior Spare Parts Interpreter is responsible for leading parts operations, driving spare parts sales, and ensuring effective warehouse and inventory management.
This role supervises a team of three and works closely with Service and Field Technicians to deliver timely, accurate parts support to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and support a team of three parts team members.
• Drive both internal and external spare parts sales.
• Attend to counter, phone, and email enquiries from customers and staff.
• Provide accurate parts quotes to support service and repair jobs.
• Manage inventory control, including regular stocktakes.
• Oversee receipting, dispatching, packing, and shipping of orders.
• Coordinate replenishment of Field Service Technician van stock.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in spare parts interpreting.
• Previous supervisory or senior parts experience (highly regarded).
• Forklift or similar equipment industry experience (advantage).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and parts identification skills.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Baseplan experience (preferred).
• Forklift licence (preferred, not essential).
