System Administrator

Would you like to contribute to a safer use of medicines and vaccines globally? We are looking for a System Administrator to join Uppsala Monitoring Centre’s multicultural and dynamic environment in central Uppsala. As a System Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our critical IT infrastructure.

Since 1978, Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) has been dedicated to developing, supporting, and expanding the field of pharmacovigilance science and practice.

As a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre, we support work around the world to examine the potential adverse effects of medicines and vaccines and contribute to safer, more informed care of patients.

About the role

As a System Administrator in our Digital Workplace team, you will be the first point of contact for internal IT issues. You will work closely with your colleagues to support, troubleshoot, and improve our IT environment.

What you will do

• First line support with daily user support and troubleshooting
• Device management
• Identity and access management (e.g. AD, Entra ID)
• Infrastructure support (network, printers)
• Meeting room and AV technology
• Administration of purchased applications
• Working in a team where overlapping competence is required

This is a hands-on and varied role where you will have the chance to learn and grow within multiple areas of IT.
