Wild Tech is seeking a Business Systems & Operations Support Contractor to help maintain continuity across CRM, operational systems, and database‑driven processes while two key team members are on maternity leave from around the end of April.

This is a hands‑on, “get‑things‑done” role for someone who can quickly build trust with operational teams, troubleshoot issues with limited documentation, and keep day‑to‑day workflows running smoothly.

Note: This role is Melbourne‑based and onsite (not remote / interstate). Regular in‑office presence is essential to support operational teams effectively.

What you’ll be doing

Operational Support & Issue Management

Act as the main point of contact for system‑related queries during the maternity leave period. Manage unplanned issues (“pinch‑hitting”) and maintain operational continuity. Help teams troubleshoot workflows, system usage, and business needs in real time.

Systems Diagnostics & Analysis

Perform diagnostics across databases to identify pinch points, inefficiencies, and emerging operational risks. Build a working understanding of CRM and ERP‑type tools (e.g., SugarCRM, operational wastage systems). Break down loosely defined or ambiguous issues into clear requirements for stakeholders and vendors.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

Engage with external vendors to describe issues clearly and support timely resolution. Translate business needs into actionable technical instructions. Communicate effectively with commercial, technical, and operational stakeholders.

Handover & Knowledge Transfer

Participate in a structured handover before the leave period (an early start—a few days to a week prior—is preferred). Review transition files, attend walkthroughs, and carry forward ongoing work.

Reporting line: You’ll report to the Commercial Manager and work with senior stakeholders who have a strong interest in technology and process optimisation.

What we’re looking for

You’re likely someone who has worked in roles combining operations, systems usage, and problem resolution—and you enjoy being the person who brings clarity when things are messy.

Skills & experience

Experience working with CRM, ERP, or database‑driven systems. Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving capability; able to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and root causes. Comfortable dealing with incomplete documentation, ambiguity, and evolving requirements. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills—able to translate technical matters into business‑friendly language. Independent, proactive, and comfortable operating in “grey areas.”

Workload & flexibility

Expected workload is approximately four days per week, with week‑to‑week flexibility (e.g., five days one week, three the next). Must be available onsite as required; remote arrangements are not suitable for this role.

Safety, quality & communication

You’ll be expected to act in line with Occupational Health & Safety, environmental responsibilities, and the company quality management system, while maintaining proactive, constructive communication and collaboration across teams.
