We are looking for a trainee to support our Middle Office team in enhancing and contributing to the data analysis and visualisation of our investment and funding activities, risk reporting, and collateral management. You need a strong background in financial data analysis and visualisation as well as database management. You will be supervised by the team lead and report to the Head of Middle and Back Office and Portfolio Performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Help maintain databases for risk exposures as well as investment and funding transactions.
Support the enhancement of dashboards used for analysis and reconciliation of collateral management data.
Aid in the creation of new PowerBI dashboards for internal stakeholders to strengthen the structured analysis of investment and funding activities and enhance the current limit monitoring capabilities.
Help create new databases for investment performance measurement and proposal for future analytics.
Participate in reporting of investment activity and performance to internal stakeholders (Head of division, Front Office, Risk Management, Management Board).
KEY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
A candidate (or recent graduate within one year of graduation) for an advanced university degree, preferably in economics, finance, risk management, business administration, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
Good understanding of financial products with an emphasis on fixed income and derivatives, including foreign exchange instruments and interest rate swaps.
DAX skills, and knowledge in SQL and PowerBI are key.
Good knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly MS Excel.
A first experience/traineeship in data analysis and visualisation in dashboards is considered a strong asset.
Knowledge in Python and construction of dashboards with Dash is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Bloomberg would be an advantage.
Fluency in English, both oral and written.
