Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Final Assembler to join our Houston manufacturing team. This role is critical to the final stage of our production process, ensuring that every custom sign is integrated, wired, and finished to the highest quality standards before delivery. Working in the Final Assembly Department, you will be responsible for the seamless transition from raw fabrication to a finished, high-impact product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Final Assembler supports the production team through the final stages of manufacturing:
Final Product Integration: Assemble pylon covers, monument signs, and custom cabinets, ensuring all structural, electrical, and graphic components are correctly aligned.
Precision Finishing: Perform critical finishing tasks including fitting, drilling, and securing hardware, ensuring a professional, client-ready finish.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret architectural shop drawings and assembly diagrams to ensure all components meet exact design specifications.
Quality Control & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work area and conduct final inspections for defects. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or signage environment is preferred. Experience with mechanical assembly or electrical wiring is a significant plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in the safe operation of hand and power tools (drills, rivet guns, screwdrivers, etc.). Ability to perform precision measurement and layout.
Communication: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to effectively collaborate within a fast-paced, diverse production team.
Physical Requirements
Remaining in a stationary position or moving throughout a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility for prolonged periods.
The ability to work in high-heat environments (temperatures reaching 100°F+) and around dust and noise common in sign fabrication.
Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and navigating a shop floor with various machinery.
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
