Content Creator (Remote Contractor)

This is a paid contract opportunity. As an independent contractor (not an employee), you will work hand in hand with our social media team (and potentially other creators, if interested) to develop engaging, impactful content. 

We will have the occasional meeting, otherwise the time commitment is very flexible. Creators will work on their own time to produce content. 

We’re looking for true partners—we want creators to be true to their style and voice. We will orient you to our brand and our mission, as well as provide ideas, sources, and the history of Big Tobacco. But we want our creators to make videos they’re proud of. 

Duties include: 

• Transforming creative briefs into video concepts 

• Writing scripts for your content 

• Appearing on camera to share stories or insights 

• Filming and editing videos 

• Completing necessary paperwork, especially for content that includes others 

• You are an engaging, clear communicator and love to be on camera. 

• You’re interested in creating under the following formats: 

  • Man On The Street Interviews 

  • Direct to Camera Explainers

  • Comedic Skits

  • Lifestyle/Vlogging 

• You have a portfolio or examples of content you have created. 

• Not a dealbreaker, but if you have personal experience with nicotine use, we encourage you to apply. Whether you’ve already quit or are willing to try quitting with EX Program, your personal journey can be a powerful tool in helping others quit too.  

There’s a lot of history and science in our work (we are a public health organization after all). So, we need someone who can communicate information clearly and accessibly, but can also keep people engaged and tuned in. 

You'll be creating content for EX Program, our go-to-guide to help people on their quitting journey. It’s developed with experts and informed by millions of experienced quitters.  

We provide science-backed, 24/7 support—all for free. 

A lot of people think the only way to quit is cold turkey, without any support or preparation.
