Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication of structural steel assemblies, Balustrades, and general fabrication . The Boilermaker will work with a variety of materials, including steel, Tig for stainless would be advantageous but not essential. Able to use a range of tools and equipment to complete their work.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of assemblies
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a variety of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, welding equipment, and cutting torches
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts, be able to weld using MIG - Flux core, Tig is beneficial
- Ability to work Autonomously and efficiently
- Be familiar with 1554 structural fabrication
- Hold a current forklift license
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, supervisors and management to complete projects
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of welding,
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
