Summary:
We are seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Levin, Manawatu for the accurate and efficient assembly and finishing of Thermosash façade and joinery systems.This
includes preparing materials, using hand tools and machines to assemble parts,
conducting quality control checks, and maintaining work areas and equipment.
The role also involves fitting hardware, glazing, bonding, assisting with
deliveries and site activities, and working in line with Thermosash’s
procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all lawful instructions, Thermosash
procedures, and site protocols.
- Review job sheets/parts lists before commencing
work and gather subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Use machines and hand tools to cut, prepare, and
assemble aluminium profiles and joinery components.
- Assemble frames and façade units, install and
fix hardware, cut and fit liners, and carry out bonding and riveting as
required.
- Conduct glazing and sealing of units, ensuring
accuracy and finish.
- Perform quality control checks to confirm
compliance with drawings, job sheets, and company standards.
- Assist with moving frames within the factory and
on-site; load and unload delivery vehicles (inwards and outwards).
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised work
environment in line with Thermosash housekeeping and waste disposal procedures.
- Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of
premises, machinery, vehicles, and equipment as required.
- Always wear provided PPE and comply with
Thermosash health and safety rules.
- Actively observe and promote safe work
practices, reporting hazards or breaches to management.
- Complete all required job records, paperwork,
and reporting accurately and on time.
- Cooperate and collaborate
with colleagues and represent Thermosash professionally when dealing with
clients, contractors, or site personnel.

Qualifications
Minimum NCEA Level 2 (or NCEA Level 1 with
relevant industry experience).
- Previous experience in aluminium fabrication,
machining, Glazing or sheet metal work desirable.
- Experience using fabrication machinery (cutting
saws, punches, benders, drills, CNC machines) and hand tools.
- Knowledge of façade or window systems
advantageous but not essential.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical
drawings and job sheets.
- Experience working to production schedules, with
attention to accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrated commitment to
workplace health and safety.
