Job DetailsJob Location: MBI TN - Loudon, TN 37774Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: AccountingSummary The SEC Reporting Senior is responsible for helping with the preparation and filing of all the Company’s SEC filings. The SEC Reporting Senior is also responsible for helping ensure disclosures in the Company’s quarterly and annual reports filed with the SEC are complete, accurate and timely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of all required SEC reports, including, among others, Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxies and related XBRL exhibits.
Ensures financial reporting compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
Monitors and improves formal processes to ensure that appropriate evidential support is maintained to support all disclosures in the Company's SEC filings.
Performs technical accounting research, including preparation of related white papers.
Challenges and understands financial information so that issues are resolved and financial results are properly recorded and presented.
Assists with coordinating work of the external auditors, including quarterly reviews and year-end audit process.
Responsible for helping with the accounting of equity transactions including tracking and reporting stock-based compensation, preparing the statement of stockholders equity and disclosures related to equity accounts in SEC filings.
Support the SEC Reporting Manager on various other duties and special projects as requested.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or Finance required, Master of Accountancy (MAcc) preferred, CPA preferred
Other Qualifications:
Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Demonstrates strong research capabilities and adaptability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; prior experience with Workiva or Blackline is a plus.
Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
Minimum of 4+ years of combined public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and private industry accounting with financial statement review experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
