Support Worker - Community - Tamworth

Position: Disability Support Worker

The Opportunity:

Come and join our team! We are seeking a Community Disability Support Worker located in Tamworth

Each day may look a little different but your work will be centered around the following:

• Providing support in everyday daily activities around the home
• Providing support with hygiene and personal care
• Complex care support - Hoist, Bowel care, catheter management ( Supra pubic catheter), Enema, Medication and Manual handling
• Providing support with Hydrotherapy session along with the client (waist down in water)
• Assistance, support, and chaperoning activities outside the home environment
• Assisting with medication compliance which may include the dispensation of prescription medication
• Meal assistance which may include meal preparation

What shifts are we offering?

Monday 7-9am fortnightly and 6-8pm weekly 

Tuesday 1-3pm fortnightly

Thursday 1-3pm weekly 

Friday 7-9am fortnightly 

Shifts will be allocated based on rostering needs. 

Normal Shifts : Monday - Sunday 7-9am, 1-3pm and 6-8am 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Drivers License, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance
• At least one year experience as a Disability Support Worker
• NDIS Clearance, First Aid (3 yrs), CPR (12 months) & National police clearance - or willingness to obtain
