Communications Partner - 12 month fixed-term contract

Location: Auckland, Parnell

Jasmax is looking for an experienced Communications Partner to join our Communications Team on a 12-month parental cover contract, starting in mid-April 2026.

Working closely with our Head of Communications and Photography & Content Manager, this role is focused on raising the profile of Jasmax’s multi-sector, trans-Tasman portfolio through strategic communications.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Head of Communications and working closely with senior leaders and Principals across the practice, this role is an integral part of the Communications Team focused on managing external communications and ensuring brand consistency across all channels.

Within this role you will undertake the following:

• Media & Public Relations: Manage media relationships and enquiries, develop press materials and coordinate interview opportunities
• Website Management: Coordinate website updates, develop project case studies and SEO-optimised content
• Digital Marketing & SEO: Optimise website content for search performance, monitor and analyse website traffic and user behaviour
• Thought leadership: Work with knowledge experts to develop client-centred communications supporting strategic business development
• Social Media: Write and publish regular social media content and track performance of channels
• Award Submissions: Coordinate and write key industry award submissions
• Events: Coordinate industry event/conference attendance and speaking opportunities, alongside studio events
• Stakeholder Communications: Prepare and distribute client newsletters; support internal communications

 Attributes, Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in communications/marketing/PR, preferably in architecture, design, construction, or professional services
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a high degree of integrity
• Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to translate complex design and technical information into accessible, engaging content for a professional audience
• Collaborative approach, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the practice and with commercial and institutional stakeholders and client organisations
• Flexible and agile with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities

 Advantageous:

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Marketing or Business
• Experience with digital marketing, SEO, and website analytics
• Experience working with AI technologies/advances relevant to the design and communications sector
• Understanding of commercial architectural practice
• Creativity and an understanding and appreciation of design
