Summary:
As a Lift Operator at Charlotte Pass Snow Resort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ski lifts, providing an exceptional experience for our guests. This temporary, casual position is ideal for individuals looking to gain entry-level experience in the travel and tourism industry while enjoying the beautiful alpine environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate ski lifts safely and efficiently, ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers.
- Assist guests with boarding and disembarking from lifts, providing excellent customer service.
- Monitor lift operations and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including the lift area and surrounding facilities.
- Provide information and assistance to guests regarding resort services and facilities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- No formal education required; however, a passion for the outdoors and customer service is essential.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to lift operations.
- Be able to Ski or Snowboard at an intermediate level.
