General Summary
The Sr. Director, Head of Marketing of Dolce Vita is responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of holistic 360 marketing that align with the business goals and strengthen Dolce Vita’s market position.
This person will serve as the connective tissue between brand, growth marketing, ecommerce, and merchandising teams, ensuring we talk about the right product at the right time and that the brand shows up across moments, audiences, and customer touchpoints.
Partnering with the Merchandising, Brand and Commercial leadership teams, this person will drive commercial success across both DTC and wholesale business units and help to scale the business internationally.
This position supports the Wholesale and Retail business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Partner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, and Commercial teams to define and execute the brand, communications, and marketing strategy across all channels
- In partnership with the CMO and Brand President, establish clear priorities to ensure strategic allocation of resources to maximize brand equity, client engagement, and ROI
- Develop and oversee the annual marketing budget, ensuring fiscal discipline and alignment with business objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the connective tissue between teams, ensuring cohesion in how the brand shows up across moments, audiences, and customer touchpoints
- Serve as lead steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring all channels and departments are working toward the same brand vision and Dolce Vita’s personality shines through in everything we do
- Work closely with design, merchandising, e-commerce, growth marketing, and retail teams to ensure brand messaging aligns with business objectives and customer needs
Marketing Campaign Development & Activation
- Partner with creative, digital, retail, growth and media teams to develop compelling, 360 marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion
- Ensure Dolce Vita consistently shows up with cultural credibility and impact across launches, activations, and campaigns
Product Marketing
- Partner with merchandising team to ensure we are telling the right product stories across all channels
- Creating feedback loop to share marketing insights and performance to inform merchandising strategy
Wholesale + International Marketing
- Support wholesale and international marketing needs as we continue to expand our distribution
Performance Marketing
- Partner with the digital/performance marketing team to align on awareness, acquisition, conversion and retention objectives and strategies that help unlock growth and customer lifetime value
Social, Influencer & Content Strategy:
- Oversee Social and Influencer team to drive culturally relevant and trend-forward storytelling, ensuring our brand is engaging and inspiring for our women’s shopper
Communications, PR & Partnerships
- Oversee communications and PR strategy – partnering with global PR team and freelance vendors
- Partner with Global PR team on celebrity, VIP, and influencer strategies to strengthen brand desirability in the region
- Identify and forge strategic local partnerships and event collaborations that enhance visibility and connect the brand to cultural moments
Event Strategy & Execution
- Oversee event planning and execution — from concept through post-event analysis — ensuring creative excellence, financial accountability, and measurable ROI
Measure, Report, Optimize.
- Lead reporting on brand initiatives, partnering on campaign effectiveness metrics and brand health measurement solutions that demonstrate the impact of brand programs
- Champion customer insights; develop an understanding of customer mindsets, attitudes, and behaviors
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team across marketing and communications disciplines
- Champion cross-functional collaboration, empowering teams to deliver excellence in execution and innovation
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $200,000-$215,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
