About the role
Ownership of the Accounts Receivable function
Ownership of the Accounts Payable process
Daily bank reconciliations
Cross system reconciliations with large data sets
Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations including bank, accruals, prepayments and other key accounts
Provide cover for the Financial Controller
Ad-hoc requests and project work as required
Requirements - Essential
Part qualified Accountant or looking to start studying and keen to progress, with 1-3 years experience.
Solid understanding of core accounting functions: double entry, AP, AR, accruals, and prepayments
Attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets: up to and including vlookups
Detail-oriented, proactive, able to prioritise and eager to learn within a high-performing finance team
Team player: happy to work collaboratively and support where needed
Nice to have
Experience in a complex billing environment
Familiarity with automated payment methods (eg Stripe, GoCardless or automated billing platforms)
