Position Summary:
Join a highly-collaborative, high-impact Advanced Analytics team driving Canada’s 2030 data ambitions. As a Sr. Analyst, Advanced Analytics, you will turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that both accelerate profitable growth and streamline underwriting operations across our $1B Canadian portfolio. You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and data analytics - owning end-to-end initiatives from framing the problem with business leaders to delivering solutions and driving adoption on the front line.
In this role, you’ll help set the strategy for what to work on — partnering with underwriting and operations leaders to identify, prioritize, and sequence the highest‑impact opportunities—then own delivery end to end. Example efficiency plays include leading automation pilots that materially reduce underwriting cycle time and increase throughput and shaping a data‑backed “north‑star” operating model.
On underwriting effectiveness, examples include delivering claims-underwriting connectivity insights that elevate portfolio quality and inform appetite; building practical tools that surface cross‑sell opportunities and enable smart reuse of broker‑supplied data. Your work will be highly visible —regularly presenting to senior leadership and influencing decisions measured by improvements in underwriting productivity, tool/process adoption, hit/bind rates, cross‑sell revenue, premium growth, and loss ratio.
If you’re an analytically strong, self‑driven problem solver who loves storytelling, stakeholder leadership, and making change real — not just reporting — this is an opportunity to shape how underwriting gets done in Canada.
