About the role
We’re seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of high-volume, transaction-driven applications. You will work closely with backend and frontend engineers building systems in Go, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, React, and Vue, helping validate complex workflows, data accuracy, and system performance under real-world load.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how transactional systems behave at scale and takes ownership of quality across APIs, databases, and user interfaces.
What you will do:
- Design and execute manual and automated test plans for backend services and frontend applications.
- Validate high-volume transactional workflows, including edge cases and concurrency scenarios.
- Test REST APIs and backend services built in Go.
- Validate data integrity across PostgreSQL (OLTP) and ClickHouse (analytics) systems.
- Build and maintain automated test suites (API, integration, and UI tests).
- Collaborate with engineers to define acceptance criteria and test strategies early in development.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and contribute to load and stress testing efforts.
- Participate in CI/CD processes to ensure automated quality gates.
- Document defects clearly and help drive root cause analysis.
What you bring:
- 4–8 years of experience in QA / Software Testing.
- Experience testing high-volume or transaction-heavy systems.
- Strong understanding of API testing (REST, JSON, authentication flows).
- Experience validating database-driven systems, including writing SQL queries.
- Experience with PostgreSQL; exposure to analytical databases (e.g., ClickHouse) is a plus.
- Experience with frontend testing for React and/or Vue applications.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, or similar).
- Understanding of performance, concurrency, and edge case testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Nice if you have:
- Experience with load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter, Locust).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based deployments.
- Experience with event-driven systems or message queues.
- Basic scripting ability (Go, Python, or JavaScript) to support automation.
