Job Summary The Senior Director, Strategy Execution and Engagement is a pivotal leadership role that serves as the architect of organizational alignment, translating strategic vision into actionable initiatives while driving coordinated market engagement across the IEEE SA.
The incumbent will orchestrate the end-to-end strategic lifecycle from planning and cross-functional execution to board-level reporting and stakeholder engagement and serve as the connective tissue across departments, ensuring strategic initiatives move from concept to reality with precision and impact. In this role, the incumbent will spearhead our market engagement strategy, positioning the organization for enhanced visibility, influence, and growth.
This position reports to the IEEE SA Managing Director and will be responsible for managing a team that includes two direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Design and oversee the organization’s strategic planning process, working closely with executive leadership to define priorities, objectives, and key results
- Lead the execution of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, resource optimization, and measurable outcomes
- Establish governance frameworks and accountability structures to track progress, identify risks, and course-correct as needed
- Drive strategic alignment across all departments, breaking down silos and fostering collaborative problem-solving
Board Reporting & Strategic Storytelling
- Craft compelling board presentations and reports that clearly communicate strategic progress, insights, and recommendations
- Translate complex data and cross-functional initiatives into coherent narratives that inform decision-making at the highest levels
- Prepare executive leadership for board meetings with strategic briefings, scenario analyses, and supporting materials
Market Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and execute a comprehensive market engagement strategy to elevate organizational visibility and influence
- Coordinate engagement activities across departments to ensure consistent messaging and strategic positioning
- Identify and cultivate key external relationships, partnerships, and opportunities that advance organizational objectives
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and stakeholder sentiment to inform strategic direction
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead a high-performing team responsible for strategy operations, analytics, and engagement activities
- Mentor direct reports, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and execution excellence
- Partner with department heads to build strategic capability across the organization

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req
Master's or other advanced degree Pref
Work Experience
10-15 years Progressive experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or related fields Req

Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives from conception through execution
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience synthesizing complex information for executive audiences- Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, including board-level presentation experience
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and navigate complex organizational dynamics
Experience developing and executing market engagement or external relations strategies
Proficiency with strategic planning tools, project management methodologies, and data visualization platforms

Diplomatic relationship builder who can influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
