Position objective: The Clinical Incident Lead works in partnership with the Quality & Safety team, clinical governance frameworks, executive and operational managers, clinical/non-clinical staff, and consumers to ensure that Forensicare has an effective, coordinated organisation wide approach to clinical incident management. This position is responsible for clinical incident management, including supporting the identification, management and investigations of clinical risk and proactively supporting associated quality improvement activities.
The position will be responsible for the investigation of serious incidents (including sentinel events and serious adverse patient safety events (SAPSEs) and associated Statutory Duty of Candour responsibilities). The position will also be required to monitor clinical incident trends across the organisation, be a member of all internal Root Cause Analysis panels, and monitor the implementation and evaluation of incident review recommendations.
