Job description

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical expert for external manufacturing processes (machining and/or forging)
Conduct process and supplier audits (VDA 6.3)
Analyze supplier manufacturing processes and drive improvement actions
Lead supplier development programs on a technical, shopfloor-oriented level
Support and lead task force activities in escalated supplier situations
Strategic development of the global supplier network
Functional leadership and coordination of regional supplier development and quality teams
Define and steer supplier development programs on a global level
Lead international escalation and task force activities with decision authority
Represent supplier quality and development topics in cross-functional and management forums
Close collaboration with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations
Support negotiations of quality-relevant supplier documentation and agreements
Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality, performance, and risk management

English language (min. B2 level - Upper Intermediate)
University degree (min. Bachelor’s in Engineering, Quality, or a related field), eventually a high school education and verifiable experience in the field
High willingness to travel (approx. 50% of the working time); active driver with a valid driver’s license
min. 5 years of experience in quality or supplier management, supplier quality, or a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments
Advanced knowledge of business relevant Quality Management Standards (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
Knowledge of quality core tools & methods (8D, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control plan, 5S, Lean production, Small lot principle, Error proofing, Mistake proofing, Poka-yoke, Traceability,…)
Auditing skills and practical experience (according to VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
Self-confident and persuasive manner, assertiveness, analytical thinking, systematic approach, flexibility, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and a sense of accountability
Advanced knowledge of the assigned technologies stamping, plating, molding, assembly and testing (such as specific process requirements, process monitoring and measurement, ISO, TS or IPC standards,...)
